New family of media converters

The FMC family of media converters is a new cost conscious approach of Fast Ethernet to fiber optic conversion solutions.

FMC Unmanaged series of fiber media converters are very small in size, but still offering same throughput performance and reliability. Available in all fiber optic flavors of the FIB1 managed series, like multimode 2Km, singlemode 15Km to 120Km, or WDM single strand technology 20Km up to 80Km, the FMC series are bringing fiber networks to a new level of affordable deployment.

FMC media converters work as standalone units, but they also can be aggregated into a small 8 slot chassis, the FMC-CH08, just like the managed FIB1 series are converting into cards for the SNMP managed FRM301 chassis.

The FMC media converters strike by simplicity and reasonable cost. For simple data networks or applications where management is not an issue, the FMC series are a solution at a fraction of the cost. And because of the small FMC-CH08 chassis, aggregation nodes can be built and easily upgraded, making a big cost difference to any other fiber optic networking solutions.
