Gigabit Ethernet media converters

The Gigabit family has an innovative approach in the fiber optic media converter industry. All three models are fully modular with SFP (miniGBIC) slots that easily accomodate any SFP optical module. This gives an unmatched flexibility in adjusting each converter to the right application, by simply choosing the most appropriate SFP optical module. FIB1-1000DS is the most powerful unit, having two SFP slots for optical Gigabit, STM, FDDI or Fibre Channel uplinks. The unit can be used as a transponder to change MM to SM or dual fiber to WDM or CWDM links. The whole family supports SNMP management, except of the FIB1-1000DS unmanaged repeater model.
