FIB1-485FDC and FIB1-SERIAL are perfect choices for Industrial EMI proof RS485 communicationsPortland, Oregon, August 8th, 2007 - The two fiber optic media converters are offering unparalleled performance in building RS485 (EIA-485) interference free industrial networks.
The
FIB1-485FDC (pictured beside) is a two fiber optic port multi-drop node in an RS485 industrial network ring. The strongest features of FIB1-485FDC are its resilience, redundancy and immunity to Electro-Magnetic Interferences (EMI). The ability to work as a daisy chain device even in a ring topology network, guarantees network operation in the event of a fiber optic breakdown. FIB1-485FDC has several choices of fiber optic operation, being available, besides the well demanded multimode choice with singlemode and even WDM optical modules.
FIB1-SERIAL works closely to an RS485 fiber optic modem, and also supports the RS232 serial interface. It is also available in a large choice of different optical modules.
Both models, FIB1-SERIAL and FIB1-485FDC can be remotely managed through SNMP and can be installed in managed fiber chassis, like the FRM301 rack mount chassis. The FIB1-485FDC is occupying 2 standard slots into an FRM301 chassis.
